What Is a Dental Crown?

Feel like royalty with your dental crown – a permanent and protective solution for a tooth that is damaged or broken. They may be made out of a number of materials, but natural-looking porcelain is often the most popular choice.

What Is the Procedure for Getting a Dental Crown?

Crowns take a couple of visits to our office over a couple of weeks. This all depends on the type of procedure you need, but the damaged tooth will be cleaned, sculpted, and prepared to fit a crown on top of it. An impression will be taken so the crown can be made, and you’ll receive a temporary to wear in the meantime. Once the permanent crown has arrived, it will be placed, you’ll assure that it’s comfortable and your bite is correct, and it will be cemented into place.
